My Favorite Banana Bread (4 Easy Steps) | Recipe

Recipes

Hello!

Today, I’d like to share my favorite bread which has my favorite fruit. Anyone can make this because one has to simply combine all the ingredients. There’s no need to think too much since this doesn’t follow any strict rule or order.

For those who would like to try baking for the first time, this is definitely the recipe I would recommend. The chance for success is very high, plus it doesn’t require any fancy baking tools (not even a fancy whisk). You have a fork, right? That’s going to be your main tool. *wink*

Let’s dive in.

Wet Ingredients:

bananas- 2 large pieces (Mashed with a fork.)

lemon juice- 1/2 tsp

brown sugar- 1/2 cup

softened butter- 57.6 g (4 tbsp)

egg- 1 pc (Beaten with a fork.)

vanilla extract- 3/4 tsp

fresh milk- 1/4 cup

Dry Ingredients:

all-purpose flour- 1 cup

baking soda- 1/2 tsp

baking powder- 1/2 tsp

salt- 1/4 tsp

cinnamon powder- 3/4 tsp

Procedure:

  1. Preheat your oven to 160 C.
  2. Mix all wet and dry ingredients (Again, with your fancy fork).
  3. Pour the mixture into a loaf pan.
  4. Bake on center rack for 30-45 minutes.

NOTES:

  1. When making banana bread; “the uglier the banana, the better”. Overripe bananas are sweeter than normal bananas so no need for too much sugar.
  2. Feel free to reduce the amount of sugar as much as you like. Sugar can be replaced with natural sweeteners such as dried fruits like dates, raisins or apricots…
  3. If you want your bread extra fluffy, sift the dry ingredients 2-3 times.
  4. You may add nuts and seeds for more texture (and nutrients). *wink*
  5. Baking time may vary depending on the oven.
  6. The best way to know if the bread is done is by toothpick testing. Simply insert a toothpick into the center of the bread. If it comes out clean, then it is a sign that your bread is done.

I hope more bananas will be saved from rotting with this recipe.

Enjoy baking!
